Join the EARLL Committee as our new Events Coordinator!

We are looking for a new committee member to help run the network. This is an exciting opportunity to get involved with EARLL, help shape the future of the network and gain valuable experience that will look great on your CV!

If you consider yourself as an early career professional in academic and research libraries or a library/information student and are interested in the below post, we want to hear from you!

Time Commitment:

· Approx. 1-2 hours per week when events are being planned (usually run 1-2 a year)

· Monthly committee meetings

· Most of the year the time commitment will be minimal.

We are particularly interested in hearing from individuals who include People of Colour/Black and minority ethnicity/Non-White, English as an additional language, LGBTQIA+, Disabled people, Neurodiverse people and those from Working Class backgrounds.

We are based in London and the South East. We are open to applicants from further afield, but events will be held in London and the surrounding area.

Vacant Role: Events Coordinator

This role will involve taking the lead in planning the 1-2 events that we run each year as part of the EARLL training and socials calendar. Every year is a bit different but previous years have tended to focus on at least one CPD style workshop and one fun social meet up.

Previous events planning experience would be great but not essential. The only essential skills required are good organisational abilities, good communication skills and an interest in the wider library and information community.

This is a great opportunity to join an exciting new network and gain unique knowledge and experience that will look great on your CV. The EARLL committee now has some experience in delivering these events and we’re happy to provide training and support to anyone who might be interested.

How to apply:

To apply, please email ukearll@gmail.com telling us a bit about yourself and any previous experience relevant to the role. Please send applications by 6 May. We will be in touch after this date.
